UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Panama is home to 5 UNESCO World Heritage Sites; one of which is Casco Viejo, the home of the Casco Antiguo Spanish School. Portobello, the Darien National park, La Amistad National Park, Coiba Nation Park, Panama Viejo and Casco Viejo.

There are 936 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: 725 cultural, 183 natural and 28 mixed. There is a strict criteria and guidelines that qualify a site to be considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Casco Antiguo Spanish School is very lucky to be located in the beautiful Casco Viejo. Our offices overlook the bay and the Amador Causeway and most days a lazy breeze drifts through the classrooms. Casco Viejo is a small but vibrant neighborhood teaming with history and culture. Historical monuments, plaza and architecture allow you to see what Panama was like in years past. Vibrant new restaurants, hotels and boutiques line the cobblestone streets.
