New Garden in Santa Famila
This past weekend Pot to Plate, a local group dedicated to educating the youth of Panama about how to grow plants, turned our arboretum into a garden for the community.
On Saturday, despite the rain, about 20 volunteers came out and moved about 200 trees and installed 6 raised beds. The trees are destined to live a life in Panamoe and the new garden will be home to a variety of plants. Pot to Plate has been working with the children of Aprojusan for nearly 3 months, growing plants, recycling, and building relationships in the community.
They still have lots of work to do and are looking for donations! Contact Pot to Plate via their website if you want to lend a hand or have questions.
