Ancon Hill or Cerro Ancon is a tropical oasis in Panama City. This 654-foot is hill is covered in rainforest and home to titi monkies, 3-toed slothes, ñeques, iguanas, tucans, and countless tropical birds. This beautiful natural gem is a short 15 minute walk from Casco Antiguo Spanish school. The hour-long hike to the top of the hill affords uninhibited views of the entire city, the Panama Canal, and Casco Antiguo. Work up a sweat on the hill or simply relax and have picnic atop this lush tropical forest. A must see for any visitor to Panama and one of our favorite places in the city.
